Band Day at Wake Forest University is an opportunity for prospective students and their programs to experience what it is like to be a part of Wake Forest and the Marching Band.
Offering unique experiences throughout the day and a chance to perform with the oldest college marching band in North Carolina while cheering on the Wake Forest Demon Deacon Football team, Band Day is an experience you do not want to miss.

Saturday, September 6, 2025
- 8:45 AM – High School Bands Arrive and Unload Equipment
- 9:00 – Begin Making Your Way to the Stadium
Restrooms inside the stadium will be open for use when you arrive - 9:30 – Wake Forest Runs Halftime Performance (HS Bands can watch)
- 9:45 – High School Bands Find Block on the Field
- 10:00 – Full Ensemble Rehearsal
- 10:30 – Wake Forest Band Runs Pregame (15 Minutes) (HS Bands can watch)
T-Shirts Will Be Distributed After - 11:00 – High School Students will Walk Up to Deacon Walk with WFU Band
Front of McCreary Tower - 11:30 – Watch Deacon Walk
- 11:45 – Lunch at Wake Forest Tennis Center with WFU Band
HS Participants will walk there with WFU Band - 12:50pm – HS Participants are escorted by a staff member to their seats in the stadium
WFU Band Steps Off for March Around the Stadium - 1:00 PM – Please Be in Your Seats
- 2:00 – Kick-Off!
- Halftime – Students will be escorted by a staff member to/from the field for halftime
Students Can Access the Concessions Stands Once They Open (stadium is cashless)
Dress For the Event:
- Black Bottoms (Shorts or Pants)
- Provided Gold High School Band Day T-Shirt for the Game.
- Comfortable Shoes to Walk in (ideally sneakers)
- Please Plan to Wear Your High School Band T-shirt for Rehearsals.
- Please Do Not Wear Other (non-Wake Forest) University Attire to Rehearsal.
