We are pleased to announce Todd Russell will return as our Director of Colorguard! Todd previously served as the Director of Colorguard from 2007-2014. Please join us in welcoming Todd back to Wake Forest and SOTOGAB!
Todd Russell is a graduate of East Tennessee State University (ETSU) where he was a member of the ETSU “Marching Bucs” (guard) as well as the concert ensembles. Todd was the instructor of the ETSU Colorguard from 1999-2003 and 2015 and a member of the Mountainaires “Independent A” Winterguard based out of Johnson City, Tennessee, from 1995-1997. Todd was part of the instructional staff for the 2000 Winterguard International (WGI) Independent “A” Class Champions and 2001 WGI Independent Open Class Finalist, Infiniti Winterguard from Greenville, South Carolina. In 2003, Todd performed with “Infiniti World” Winterguard based out of Greenville, South Carolina, under the direction of Victor Mooney, Joe Sowders, and J.C. Caceres. In 2006, Todd completed a 2-year term as President of the Carolina Indoor Performance Association and was the Colorguard Caption Head for the 2007 Drum Corps International Gold Medalist, Memphis Sound Drum and Bugle Corps. Todd is also an alumni summer staff member for Marching Auxiliaries, Inc, based out of Dallas/Plano Texas.
Todd was the Director of Colorguard at Wake Forest University from 2007-2014 and founder of the Reynolda Winterguard who were 2009, 2010, and 2011 WGI Finalists and 2012 and 2014 Semifinalist. Todd continues to choreograph for several guard programs in Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina.
